SWITCHING FROM NON ORGANIC TO ORGANIC HELPS WITH HORMONE REGULATION

As we become more aware of hormone changes that are causing early puberty in our girls and boys, it makes sense to look at organic options in all our consumer purchases, including food and household products such as organic oils (since essential oils are directly absorbed into skin and bloodstream.)  Pesticide residue is shown to be hormone disputing as well as the consumption of non organic animal products -including non organic milk and animal products- which are pumped up with hormones for commercial profit.

It stretches my budget to buy organic at times, but it all goes back to reevaluating everything I do.

Since this one action has a big impact in so many ways, I don’t want to minimize the importance of choosing to buy organic.

Having said all this, if my budget doesn’t allow the extra expense, I will still purchase non organic oils and foods – IT’S THE NEXT BEST THING and it makes no sense to beat myself up for doing what I can at this moment, with what I have.

Plastics are other chemicals should also be evaluated in your home products as certain plastics are reported to be disruptive to hormones.   How many plastic products are you currently using on a regular basis and how can they be replaced?

Don’t let the evaluation of your use of plastics overwhelm you, you can make a good start on this by just evaluating any new purchases, and build up to replacing toxic plastic products with healthier alternatives.   It’s a process.

A final step that is to evaluate your personal care items.  It’s a big category for most women including myself and I’m very close to making some big changes in this area of my life.

I’m pretty sure that as with anything else, changing my habits in the use of my personal care items will not be nearly as overwhelming to do as the thought of doing it is right at this moment.

I’ll be sure to let you know in an upcoming blog post.
